At a time when commercial media are closing overseas bureaus, cutting back on reporters, and turning to celebrity journalism, college and independent journalists have an important role in shining light on important issues around the world and at home.
This site has two purposes:
- to show the best work of young journalists on social justice issues such as the food crisis, migration, etc.,
- to share story ideas and sources about such stories.
