Poynter Institute compiles guide to social justice journalism

March 25, 2016

In honor of the Pulitzer Prize centennial, Poynter’s Roy Peter Clark and David Shedden have prepared a guide to Pulitzer Prize-winning stories related to social justice and equality.

Clark explains the purpose of the compilation of important journalism over the century:

In the weeks and months ahead, Poynter will use this space for other examples of social justice journalism – from history and from our own time. The goal will be to inspire physical and moral courage among journalists and to help all of us remember the power that comes from the convergence of mission and craft.

Shedden has put together a resource guide listing the many stories focused on social justice and equality.
